WizardCraft is now available on Steam EarlyAccess at a price of $11.99/ £8.99 with a 10% discount during the first week. Although it’s not finished yet, it features approximately 90% of the content, with a quality considered final, and ready for community feedback.
WizardCraft is a fantasy-themed real-time strategy (RTS) game where players try to destroy AI opponents by collecting resources and creating an army. The game is played in a medieval setting with fantasy elements, where both sides have melee (knights), ranged (archers), aerial units (dragons), and spellcasters (wizards). Most of the missions follow the pattern "collect resources, build buildings and units, destroy opponents".
The game is played by building up a working economy to produce military units, and then going to war against AI enemies. Iron and coal is needed to produce weapons that are needed to 'recruit' soldiers, which in turn requires mines and food production. All buildings require wood and stone to build, and all peasants need living space, which results in a complex chain of infrastructure required before big armies may be produced. Upgrade points earned during combat can be used in the Castle to upgrade various units. The Castle is considered as the central hub in the game, if it is destroyed it's game over.
WizardCraft currently contains 30 missions and two different skirmish modes, 'normal mode' and 'battle mode'. Battlemode is a quick mode which only uses two resources 'wood' and 'gold' to produce buildings and units, this allows players to quickly build an army so players can focus more on the attacking aspect of the game. Normal mode contains all 29 different resources available in the game and players must create a stable economy in addition to managing an army.
Both skirmish modes can be further customized to increase the cap limit on buildings and units, as well as the stats of each individual unit, allowing players the freedom to play the game however they decide. The game's easy to use map editor also allows players to develop maps for use in the skirmish modes.

Says Vishal Gumber, CEO of Gamesoft, "Tucked away in the busy lanes of Sydney's oldest suburb, the talented team at Gamesoft has worked tirelessly for the last eight months on this mind-boggling game.
"Clockwork is by no means an indie game, even though it is Gamesoft's debut. Our young team is ready to take on the best of AAA when Clockwork releases later this year."
Clockwork is set in the great mechanical city of Watchtower, where the last survivors of a great plague have found shelter within metal walls and metal bodies. Watchtower is divided by poverty and technology; the glittering spires of its upper tiers towering over the thrumming power plants and smoking factories of the industrial slums.
Players control a young boy named Atto who, thanks to his clockwork companion Milli, is able to duplicate himself and slip through time in order to overcome the obstacles heading his way.
Says Daniel McMahon, Clockwork's lead writer, "Clockwork is a story about unlikely friends coming together to try and fix an imperfect world in a time-bending puzzle-platforming adventure story. We want to ask players the question: What if you could go back in time, to before everything changed?"
Planned for a digital release on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and mobile platforms, Clockwork will launch later this year.
Pneuma: Breath of Life provides players with a relentless determination to solve every puzzle, progressing through a narrated story of self-discovery, exploring the fundamental nature of being. Pneuma's story is one that can only be told through the interactive medium of video games. This is a difficult puzzler designed to force players to think outside the box and explore beyond what they know as reality through the eyes of a god, voiced by award winning voice actor, Jay Britton.
Pneuma’s puzzles consist of environmental challenges that require perception, observation, and lateral thinking skills to succeed. The observation mechanic allows you to Lift bridges, rotate platforms and move entire rooms all with the power of your mind, which is enhanced even further with the Oculus Rift DK2 support in the Steam version. Playing Pneuma isn't about your skill with a controller, it's about how you perceive and analyse situations. PC and Xbox players will need to push their brains to their limit in this exciting new first person puzzler as Pneuma contemplates the nature of reality and you explore the ontological mystery of the Breath of Life.
“With the release so close now we can’t wait to see player’s reactions to the final game. Being able to say that we’re coming to Steam on the same day as Xbox One is very exciting for us as we want as many people as possible to be to experience the story of Pneuma. This new cinematic trailer gives a glimpse at Pneuma’s world which you’ll be able to experience in full 27th February 2015.”
“It’s finally here,” said Jason Wishnov, CEO of Iridium Studios, who has not slept much lately and he should probably get some soon. “This is an unprecedented experience, and we’re thrilled to bring it to gamers around the world. We love you guys.”
A launch trailer has been released that shows the full breadth of the game’s technology in action. In addition, for the first week of release, players who purchase the game on Steam will get a free copy of Iridium Studios’ first title, Sequence, absolutely free. There Came an Echo is also under a 10% discount for that timeframe.
There Came an Echo utilizes Intel RealSense technology, one of the first commercial titles to do so. Intel has worked closely with Iridium to ensure an experience of exceptionally high quality. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports will be coming later this year.

A BAFTA award-winning composer, Jesper Kyd is renowned for creating unique scores with a diverse array of live instrumentation and manipulated sounds. His immersive soundtracks feature a mix of styles ranging from the iconic orchestral/electronic hybrid scores for the Hitman series (British Academy Award for Original Music) and the anthemic choral score for Freedom Fighters, to his four evocative scores for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series and the post-apocalyptic / sci-fi themes of the Borderlands Series.
“When we first began the search for a composer for Vermintide, Jesper Kyd was a name that kept coming up again and again - his iconic atmospheric compositions have become a benchmark in what can be achieved in video game music,” said Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark. “We could not be more excited about what he has in store for Vermintide.”
“Working with indie developer Fatshark was one of those crazy challenges that rarely comes along,” said Jesper Kyd, “They wanted a score from the perspective of the Skaven inhabiting the Warhammer universe. Writing this score has been a bit like joining the Skaven clan and giving them a voice - it's been great, twisted fun.”
In Vermintide, the city of Ubersreik is under siege as players select from a band of five heroes with different play-styles and abilities, all equipped with unique gear and personalities. Working together cooperatively, players must use their individual attributes to survive an apocalyptic invasion from hordes of relentless, power hungry Skaven, across a range of environments stretching from the top of the Magnus Tower to the bowels of the Under Empire.
Vermintide is scheduled for release in the second half of 2015, for Windows PC, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
How much of Dying Light could actually be recreated in film? This question inspired Techland and Flying Carpet Studio to create a live-action short-film “The Last Supply Drop” which was released today. Telling a story about four quarantine survivors’ last ditch attempt to get to an air-drop full of crucial supplies, the video brings Dying Light key gameplay features to the real life, including parkour movement, car traps, and the fan-favorite dropkick attacks.

By drawing lines on the touch screen with the stylus, the player creates Rainbow Ropes that will help Kirby navigate obstacles and defeat enemies. Three friends can hop in and out at any time using Wii Remote controllers to play as Waddle Dees and assist Kirby, and players can even use compatible amiibo figures once a day, per stage, to power up Kirby with special abilities.
“Kirby and the Rainbow Curse kicks off another absolutely stellar lineup of Wii U games for this year,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “In the first half of the year alone, Wii U owners will be able to adventure with Kirby, party down with Mario and his friends in Mario Party 10, build levels in the Nintendo eShop-exclusive Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars and experience Nintendo’s newest IP with the action-packed Splat oon.”
Unlike other games in the Kirby series, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is set in a beautiful “clay-ful” world. The controls are also easy to pick up for all types of players, since the game is played exclusively on the touch screen of the Wii U GamePad. The Rainbow Ropes will guide Kirby in the direction players want him to go, and drawing ropes in creative ways like a loop will even give Kirby a quick speed boost. Strategy not only comes into play in guiding Kirby, but also in the amount of Rainbow Ink used, as drawing Rainbow Ropes uses precious ink. By staying on the ground or collecting an ink bottle, players can refill the Rainbow Ink quickly. In addition to moving Kirby around, Rainbow Ropes can be cleverly used to solve environmental puzzles. Using a well-drawn rope can block a waterfall or uncover hidden areas.
Instead of his traditional copy abilities, Kirby can transform into powerful vehicles. As a tank, Kirby will move automatically and players must tap on the GamePad touch screen to shoot at approaching enemies. When traveling through the depths as a submarine, Kirby will move to the spot players tap on the touch screen. And as a rocket, drawing Rainbow Ropes will help navigate him to the goal.
Anyone that wants to experience Kirby and the Rainbow Curse with friends or family members is in luck! Up to three additional players can join the adventure at any time. As the player who controls Kirby draws Rainbow Ropes and taps the GamePad, other players use Wii Remote controllers (sold separately) to play as friendly Waddle Dee characters to assist Kirby and help discover the game’s numerous collectibles. While ultimately everyone works together to reach the goal, each player’s collected stars will display at the end of each stage, encouraging a little friendly competition.
Kirby, King Dedede or Meta Knight amiibo can each be used once a day to power up Kirby with special abilities. By tapping a Kirby amiibo to the Wii U GamePad, players receive an unlimited Star Dash within a stage, which usually can only be activated by collecting 100 stars. A King Dedede amiibo outfits Kirby with a hat that grants him six health bars instead of the normal four. And the Meta Knight amiibo gives Kirby a mask that lets him use a fast dash that blasts right through weaker enemies.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse launches for Wii U on Feb. 20 at a suggested retail price of $39.99. The game will also be available for purchase in the Nintendo eShop and at Nintendo.com.
