Today The Pokémon Company International showcased the Mega-Evolved form of Audino in a new trailer made especially for the crowds at gamescom, taking place this week in Cologne, Germany. Audino was not known to evolve from or to any other form, so this is an interesting twist in the mysterious story of Mega Evolution.

Before Mega Evolving, Audino is known to use the feelers on its ears to tell how others are feeling or when a Pokémon Egg might hatch. It may have either the Healer Ability or the Regenerator Ability. After Mega Evolving, Mega Audino adds Fairy type to its Normal type, automatically gaining all the advantages of Fairy type. Mega Audino always has the Healer Ability.

Thanks to its improved Defense and Special Defense stats, Mega Audino can be a great support in Double Battles. It emits a powerful, soothing pulse from its body that reduces hostility in others and calms any opponent within range. Pokémon should avoid contact with Mega Audino’s new secondary feelers lest they fall into a deep sleep and become easy prey to an opponent’s attacks!

EA today announced that EA Sports is rewriting Next Gen Goalkeepers, bringing a new level of realism to gameplay in FIFA 15 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, fuelled by EA Sports Ignite.

Goalkeepers in FIFA 15 will now look, move, and think like their real world counterparts with new AI that allows them to anticipate shots and passes, move with positional awareness, and display an array of new animations. Next Gen Goalkeepers is just one element of this season’s gameplay innovations that make FIFA 15 more immersive and responsive so fans can Feel the Game.

FIFA 15 adds all 18 clubs from the Turkish Süper Lig and gives the Barclays Premier League, the most played league across EA Sports FIFA, an authenticity overhaul. Fans will be able to play FIFA 15 in all 20 stadiums of the Barclays Premier League, with chants captured from live events of the 2013/14 Barclays Premier League season, and new commentary - matches will showcase broadcast overlays that are synonymous with the international TV presentation of the league. And more than 200 new realistic player faces have been 3D scanned and rendered for FIFA 15.

“We’re delivering innovations and improvements that have been at the top of our fans’ wish list: new goalkeepers, more responsive gameplay, and the Turkish Süper Lig,” said David Rutter, Vice President and General Manager at EA. “This year we’ve put the game in the hands of fans earlier than ever before, listened, and delivered what they want in gameplay, authenticity, and modes.”

The most popular game mode in the franchise,  FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) adds new features to help fans build and manage a team of their football heroes. Loan Players gives fans a chance to determine if some of the most highly sought after FUT players are suitable for their squads by signing players on loan via EA Sports Football Club Catalogue and playing with them for a limited number of games. A powerful new squad planning tool Concept Squads gives access to every player available in FIFA Ultimate Team so fans can view team chemistry and plan their next line-up or transfer market move. Once fans build a squad, they can play Friendly Seasons in FIFA 15 Ultimate Team – fans can challenge friends in a five match season format and track their stats in the new progress menu. FIFA 15 Ultimate Team also sees the arrival of a number of new FIFA Ultimate Team Legends, only on Xbox.

In Career Mode, an all-new Team Management system gives fans the chance to customize up to six different team sheets and alter formations, tactics, and roles based on their next opponent – making it a seamless transition as they progress from game-to-game throughout their careers. Team Management also offers fans the chance to personalize gameplay by assigning up to five different attacking and defending player Instructions to each of the 10 outfield player positions. Instructions dictate the type of attacking runs and defensive positioning players will adopt.

EA Sports Football Club is more interactive than ever before connecting fans to their club, friends, and favourite modes.  Fans can now share news, interact with friends, and redeem items all via a new contextual EA Sports Football Club widget that gives fans direct access to the Football Club Catalogue and news feed. Strengthening the connection to clubs and leagues around the world, FIFA 15 adds a live football news hub, Match Day Live. Updated as news is published, and powered by Goal.com, Match Day Live will bring stories, stats, and league tables directly to the FIFA 15 menu so fans can stay up-to-date with information from the top leagues around the world.

FIFA 15, developed at EA Canada, will release worldwide in September on PC, Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, and is available for pre-order now on Origin and other retailers. A version of FIFA 15 will also release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita this Fall. Not all game features are available on all gaming platforms.

Natsume is launching a new series of developer diaries revealing the details behind the upcoming farming-RPG, Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley. Launching exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS later this year, fans have been clamoring for new details about the development behind the game. In the first of a monthly series of diaries, Natsume producer Taka Maekawa reveals the details behind the innovative new tool system.

"When we sat down to design  Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley, we wanted to really study what made the game fun," said Taka Maekawa, who is producing the game. "We wanted to maintain the core value of hard work leading to great rewards, while minimizing anything that may detract from a fun game."

"We took a long, hard look at the tool system and decided to go back to the drawing board," Maekawa continued.  "We came to the conclusion that gameplay should flow, so we made three core changes to the tool system."

The Right Tool For The Job

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley introduces context-sensitive tools. When a player is standing in front of a tree, for example, there are only certain actions they are logically able to do to the tree. A player can't shear or milk the tree, so if they have an axe in their inventory, the game will automatically know that they want to chop down the tree. All they have to do is walk up to the tree, push the A Button, and they will chop the tree down! Now there is no need to open the menu to select and equip a tool, which slows down the flow of gameplay.

Call On Your Friendly Harvest Sprite To Upgrade

Instead of upgrading their tools, the Harvest Sprites now act as tool upgrades. It can be frustrating, as well as time-consuming, to hunt down the exact type of ore players need to upgrade their tools. Therefore, in the new game, all they have to do is ask the Harvest Sprites for their help, and they'll be able to water their crops, mine material stone, collect lumber, and more. They won't ever have to worry about taking their tools to get upgraded, which will allow them to save time and explore the land!

It’s All In The Bag!

Everything in the player's bag is at their disposal! Since they can stack up to 255 of each item, storage won't be a problem! They won't have to run back to their house, get items from their tool box or refrigerator, and so on, because they can keep everything in their bag. Therefore, when villagers need an item, they won't have to worry about not having it! The player’s trusty bag will help to save tons of time.

In Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley, players will experience the role-playing farm simulation in a three-dimensional setting for the first time. The game has a fully customizable world, and players can customize their field in any way they see fit: from a field full of tulips like they might see in Holland, to a valley filled with water like Venice, the choice is up to them.

The Pokémon Company International today announced exciting new features and story elements of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, launching in the United Kingdom on November 28th, 2014, for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems. A brand new gameplay trailer has also been released, giving fans a deeper look at what they will discover in their new adventure through the Hoenn region.

New Mega-Evolved Pokémon Mega Metagross!

A new Mega-Evolved Pokémon was revealed today - Mega Metagross. Metagross is the partner Pokémon of Pokémon League Champion Steven, whose deep bond helps it to Mega Evolve into Mega Metagross. Despite helping Trainers throughout their journey, Steven is the last obstacle for Trainers to overcome before becoming the Pokémon League Champion.

Mega Metagross, the Iron Leg Pokémon, is a massive Steel- and Psychic-type Pokémon standing at 2.5 m (8’02”) and weighing 942.9 kg (2078.7 lbs). Upon Mega Evolving, Metagross’s Ability changes to Tough Claws, which increases the power of attacks that make physical contact. Mega Metagross also has a greatly increased Speed stat, with additional increases in its Attack, Defence, Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def, making Mega Metagross primed for both offence and defence.

Deepen your bonds with Pokémon-Amie and meet Cosplay Pikachu!

First introduced in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, Pokémon-Amie returns in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. Pokémon-Amie allows Trainers to create close ties with their Pokémon by playing games together, petting them, and feeding them special snacks called Poké Puffs. As a player’s Pokémon become more affectionate, they will be more likely to do such things as evade attacks in battle, land critical hits, and get an overall boost in performance.

Players will see Pikachu like they’ve never seen it before - Cosplay Pikachu - in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. Meet Pikachu Rock Star, Pikachu Belle, Pikachu Pop Star, Pikachu Ph.D., and Pikachu Libre! They seem to have a connection to a kind of Contest Hall. Players will also be able to interact with Cosplay Pikachu in Pokémon-Amie. More information about the new Cosplay Pikachu will be revealed in August.

Journey through the Hoenn Region

Your Hoenn adventure begins when you meet Pokémon Professor Birch, who runs the Pokémon Lab in Littleroot Town. Professor Birch will help players begin their journey by giving them their first Pokémon and a Pokédex. The Pokémon that appear and the rarity of each will differ between Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

The first step to becoming the Champion is to challenge and defeat each of the Gym Leaders in the Hoenn region, including the main character’s father, Norman, who is the Leader of the Petalburg City Gym. It was also confirmed today that players will encounter and battle Rustboro City Gym Leader Roxanne, Dewford Town Gym Leader Brawly, Mauville City Gym Leader Wattson, and Lavaridge Town Gym Leader Flannery.

After defeating eight Gym Leaders, players will travel to the Pokémon League to battle the Elite Four, including Sidney and Phoebe. Upon defeating the Elite Four, Trainers will take on the Hoenn League Champion, Steven, and his Mega Metagross, in the hope of becoming the new Pokémon League Champion!

More information on Mega Diancie revealed!

When Diancie Mega Evolves into Mega Diancie, it will get the Magic Bounce Ability, which makes any status condition or stat-lowering effect bounce back at the Pokémon trying to inflict it. Through Mega Evolution, Mega Diancie receives a big boost to its Speed, as well as boosts to its Attack and Sp. Atk, while experiencing a reduction in its Defense and Sp. Def. The boosts help Mega Diancie with its quick, powerful attacks, such as Diamond Storm and Moonblast.

Further details of how players can get Diancie for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will be shared soon. Players who receive Diancie can Mega Evolve it in Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire players will be able to create their very own Secret Base, a customisable area that will allow them to show off their individuality by setting up mazes or traps for visitors to encounter, and even creating Pokémon battle rules, transforming their Secret Base into their own Pokémon Gym!

Players will be able to share their Secret Base with other Trainers around the world using StreetPass functionality of the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems, or they can create a QR Code for their unique Secret Base, enabling friends to visit it with ease. When visiting other Secret Bases, players can meet other Trainers in the same base and invite them back to their own Secret Base as Secret Pals. Players can interact and battle with Secret Pals, who have special skills that can support players in their adventures, such as sharing new Decorations, making a Pokémon Egg hatch faster, or raising the level of a select Pokémon by one. The more Secret Pals players have in their Secret Base, the more special skills will be available to help them in their adventures.

Players can also capture flags while visiting other players’ Secret Bases. Flags are located beside the Secret PC in each Secret Base. The more flags a player collects, the higher the rank earned, which brings rewards like improving the skills of a player’s Secret Pals.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are set to launch on Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems worldwide this November.

A new adventure unlike anything Nintendo has done before will join the ever-expanding Nintendo universe in 2015. At a developer roundtable event on June 11th during the E3 video game conference, Nintendo announced Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. exclusively for the  Nintendo 3DS family of systems. The new turn-based action strategy game comes from Intelligent Systems, the developer of the Fire Emblem and Advance Wars series.

Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. is a new take on strategy games inspired by third-person shooters. Like the Fire Emblem  and Advance Wars games before it, Code Name S.T.E.A.M. tasks players with planning out strategic moves using a team of soldiers to do battle with enemy forces. But this game throws a wrench into many of the conventions familiar to the genre.

For starters, the game takes place in a vibrant steampunk world, weaving its globe-spanning tale in the art style of a classic comic book. The title refers to an elite team of steam-powered special-forces soldiers composed of absolutely wild and wholly unexpected characters who must battle an extraterrestrial menace. To establish a connection to the main playable characters and to emphasize the verticality and depth of the level design, the perspective of Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. uses a behind-the-shoulder perspective at the level of the players’ squad. Players outflank and outshoot the enemy in a fully 3D battlefield with a customizable four-member team. To defeat aliens, they have to take cover, set up ambushes and unleash crossfires and counter-attacks. For every move taken or action performed, a steam gauge is slowly depleted, forcing players to use strategy to achieve their objectives. Along the way, players will acquire new items and weapons that give them more strategic options and firepower.

Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.  will launch exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems in 2015.
