505 Games have announced that the sequel to Sniper Elite is under development for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. Sniper Elite V2 will be a modern take on the acclaimed classic Sniper Elite which was released back in 2005, which saw gamers playing as a American OSS secret agent disguised as a German sniper in Berlin during the final days of World War II.
Sniper Elite earned considerable public and critical applause with its blend of stealth action - which emphasised patience and cunning over reflexes alone - culminating in being awarded ‘Best PC/Console Game’ at the TIGA awards 2005.
