Deep Silver have announced that Dead Island has "gone gold" and is now in production. The game will be out in stores on September 6th in North America and September 9th in the rest of the world.

To celebrate Dead Island gaining gold status, Deep Silver have released a new co-op trailer. Dead Island offers a seamless co-op experience for up to four players with easy drop-in/drop-out mechanics throughout the whole game.
