Capcom reveals Monster Hunter 3G wont support online play

Capcom have confirmed that Monster Hunter 3G for the 3DS will not support cooperative online play, following a question by a gamer on Capcoms official support page in Japan.

Asking if its possible to play in cooperation with other players via the internet. Capcom responded "No. However, the game will use the Internet to download event quests. For cooperative play, we plan to support the local communication between nearby Nintendo 3DS. Players who play over the Internet can not be far away, please note."

Gamers who were planning on playing Monster Hunter 3G cooperatively with other hunters, will have do locally. Monster Hunter 3G is expected to be released across Japan on December 10th, Western release dates have yet to be confirmed
