Glen Schofield, general manager of Modern Warfare 3 co-developer Sledgehammer Games, has strongly dismissed criticism of the Infinity Ward engine used to power the game.

All Call of Duty titles since 2005's Call of Duty 2 have been built with the IW engine, which has been heavily modified for each new series entry. Some commentators have suggested the engine's starting to feel a little aged, but Schofield wholeheartedly disagrees.
