Outlaws of the Lost Dynasty is another Data East import that was nearly forgotten in a crowded fighting era that included Street Fighter and Fatal Fury. Now fighting fans will be able to battle this classic 2D fighter, featuring entertaining fare such as charge moves, combos, and air attacks. Unique features involving the game's hand-to-hand combat system help keep the gameplay fresh. Players who throw down their weapon and fight with their bare hands will be rewarded with more visceral attacks and effective combos.
Non-Japanese speakers will also be pleased to know that the game's menus are almost entirely in English. The smooth and fluid character animation for the game's 11 Chinese characters vary the fighting style and bring longevity to the title.
MonkeyPaw Games plans to import more classic Japanese PlayStation Network games to the European digital markets. Other released titles include Cho Aniki and Sonic Wings Special, both classic 2D shooters. Cho Aniki combines fast and quirky gameplay with a cast of over-the-top Japanese body builders. Sonic Wings Special is a critically-acclaimed shooter with tight controls and enemy bosses that overflow with nostalgia. These games are also available on the European PlayStation Network at a price point of EU €4.99, £3.99 each.
