Gears of War 3 free DLC available November 24th

Epic games have announced that they will be giving away free DLC for Gears of War 3. The "Versus Booster Map Pack" will be available on November 24th (Thanksgiving day), and will add five maps into the Gears of War 3 multiplayer mode. Epic games says it's meant to "give thanks" to fans that have supported the franchise so far.

The free DLC will include two maps from Gears of War 1: Swamp and Clocktower as well as the three maps which are available in the Horde Command Pack: Asura, Rustlung and Blooddrive.

The Horde Command pack which was previously delayed is now available for 800Msp from the Xbox Live Marketplace. For those who only wanted to purchase the Horde Command Pack for the maps alone and NOT the new fortification upgrades, characters or weapon skins, it may be worth waiting for the free Versus Booster Map Pack this November 24th.

Tuesday, 13th December – “RAAM’s Shadow” – 1200 Microsoft Points
Delivers more than three hours of new campaign gameplay set in a storyline that precedes the events of the first “Gears of War,” as well as six new multiplayer characters, the Chocolate Weapon Set and new Achievements worth an additional 250 Gamerscore – along with the ability to play as Zeta Squad, elite Locust enemies, or RAAM, one of the series’ most legendary Locust bosses.
