Sports buffs can now challenge themselves and their friends to a test of stats-focused sports knowledge, as sports simulation company AccuScore have launched the open beta for its first Facebook social game, SKL. Sports fans can sign in-game contracts and compete against their friends as they advance through the ranks from amateur to all-star, testing their sports knowledge in college football, English Premier League (EPL) and the NFL.

Players can progress through SKL and engage in a variety of mini-games:
  • Buzzer Beater – This game mode puts players in a race against the clock to answer stat-based questions about their favorite teams.
  • 4Cast – Players will enter this mode to flaunt their game prediction skills as they use their in-game currency to purchase cards representing their prediction in a variety of statistical categories.
  • Challenge Mode – Future all-stars can also compete in a trivia free-for-all, pitting up to five friends in a race against each other and the clock.
With each correct answer or successful prediction, players will earn SKL points, coins and energy as rewards for their achievements. The best of the best will rise to the top of the SKL leaderboards in this global competition for true sports fans.

“One thing that unites all sports fans is their competitive nature and knowledge of their favorite teams,” said Jason Manasse, CEO of AccuScore. “Utilizing AccuScore’s massive array of sports statistics, SKL offers them the chance to flaunt that knowledge as they compete against their friends in a variety of mini-games, table games and quizzes.”
