Nintendo UK announces an early release date for Boom Street

Nintendo have today announced that 'Boom Street' for the Wii, will now be released before the new year in the UK. Originally planned to be released on Jan 6th, the game will now hit retail on December 28th.

Boom Street is similar to Monopoly, where players roll dice to advance around a board, purchase unowned property they land on and earn money when opponents land on the player's property, players also draw cards when they land on certain spaces.

Each of the boards are themed on favourite Mario and Dragon Quest locations, with fan-favourites such as Starship Mario from Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) and Alltrades Abbey from Dragon Quest both making an appearance. You can play as your own Mii character or also choose to play as one of over 20 playable characters from the Mario and Dragon Quest franchises, including Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Yoshi, Slime, Platypunk and Stella.
