Aion goes free-to-play in Europe next week

Gameforge have announced that Aion will switch to free-to-play on the 28th of February 2012 . The change-over will occur simultaneously for the German, French and English language versions of the game.

Previous subscribers to Aion will also receive a premium currency voucher - every player with remaining play time on their account, who transfers the account to the Gameforge servers before the 27th of February 2012 will receive six AION Coins (the game’s premium currency) per game day in their account as compensation. The coins can be spent in the item shop from the 28th of February onwards.
