Ascend: New Gods announced for XBLA

Signal Studios has today announced 'Ascend: New Gods', a third person action RPG which is being developed for XBLA for the Xbox 360.

In Ascend New Gods players can pledge loyalty to one of Three Gods – the chaotic goddess of darkness, the zealous god of light or the manipulative lord of the void – and pillage the land on their behalf.

The game includes a style of "parallel multiplayer", in which gamers can play with and against other gamers over Xbox LIVE as you each journey through your own private yet parallel paths. As players advance through their own single-player game, you’ll see other players adventuring in their own identical worlds. While your experiences are separate, you will still be able to impact each others, either by sending them a blessing or a curse.

Ascend also support cross connectivity between mobile and console platforms. Players can wage war against other players directly from a mobile phone, rack up power and prestige, and transfer it all to your Xbox 360 console.
