There was a time when “military shooters” were a dime a dozen. Following the success of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, every developer with the slightest interest in millions of dollars took a crack at some kind first-person, gritty/cinematic affair, and we the gamers ended up with a slew of titles that we could pick up in the middle and genuinely not be able to tell apart.
