Halo 4 Spartan Ops Mode to include five weekly co-op missions

343 Industries has revealed that Halo 4's Spartan Ops mode will receive five weekly co-op missions across its "season" after the launch of Halo 4 on November 6th, 2012.

Halo 4's Spartan Ops mode, which is playable in single-player or cooperatively with up to three friends, are objective based missions which follows the events of Halo 4. These episodes will centre on the UNSC Infinity leaders and crew, and a new team of Spartans – Majestic Squad.

“The plan as 343 lays it out is to deliver weekly content updates that amount to five bite-sized missions for up to four players, plus one cinematic cutscene that lays out the underlying narrative driving a given week's scenario. Our behind closed doors E3 2012 demo took the form of a ground infantry combat mission, though fans can expect to enjoy the full gamut of Halo experiences, including vehicle-oriented missions and perhaps a few surprises that have yet to be revealed, as Spartan Ops unfolds.”

Access to Spartan Ops is included with Halo 4 at no additional charge and will be available to play as long as you’re still an Xbox Live subscriber.

[Update] 343 has said that if their data shows plenty of players trying Spartan Ops, and sticking with it through the whole season, we can probably expect more seasons of Spartan Ops Missions.
