SEGA have announced that Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown launches this week on home consoles. Based on the latest arcade version of the celebrated Virtua Fighter 5 series, the game is available now for PlayStation Network in North America, and will be available tomorrow, June 6th, worldwide on PSN and for Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 priced at $14.99/ £9.99/ €12.99 for PSN and 1,200 Microsoft Points for XBLA.

Character customization DLC packs are available for individual characters at $4.99/£3.59/ €4.49 for PSN or 400 Microsoft points each. Two character customization DLC bundles are also available for purchase; one bundle includes nine characters’ worth of DLC items, and the second contains DLC items for the remaining ten characters. Each bundle is priced at $14.99/ £9.99/ €12.99 for PSN and 1,200 Microsoft Points for XBLA.

Players choosing to purchase Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown on PSN will have the option to purchase the “Complete Edition” for $29.99, which includes the full game and all character customization DLC. The Complete Edition is a limited time offer and will only be available for two weeks after launch.

PlayStation Plus subscribers will also be able to download Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown for free from PSN for one month after launch, and will have the option to purchase character customization DLC bundle packs for 20% off for two weeks from launch.
