Gears of War: Judgment demo announced

A Gears of War Judgement demo, featuring the new OverRun multiplayer mode, will be available for download from the Xbox Live Marketplace worldwide on March 19th, Epic Games have announced. Those who pre-order the game at GameStop in the US will be able to play the demo three days early.

The early access pre-order bonus at GameStop will be available from March 15th to March 18th. This offer also applies to those who have previously pre-ordered the game at GameStop.

As an added bonus, multiplayer experience points (XP) earned from playing the demo will carry over to the final game for those who purchase and play Judgment in the first week following its release.

OverRun is a new class-based, competitive multiplayer mode that lets five-player teams alternate between playing as Locusts and COG soldiers. A video tutorial of the new mode can be watched below.

On top of the early access, those who pre-order Judgment from GameStop will also receive two exclusive pre-order bonuses for use in competitive multiplayer modes: the Young Marcus character skin  and the Lambent weapon skin.

Additionally, everyone who pre-orders Judgment from any retailer worldwide will receive the Classic Hammerburst, a standard-issue assault rifle of the Locust Army.
