stillalive studios has released an exclusive trailer today demonstrating some of the most anticipated elements of their upcoming title ‘Son of Nor’, which they have recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for. The trailer shows the powers characters will possess and players will be able to control, including telekinesis, magic and the most exciting: terraforming.

The players’ powers in the game stand it apart from other 3rd person action adventures. They will be able to control the environment around them through a number of special abilities, such as telekinesis, the ability to lift, move and throw objects, terraforming, to manipulate the landscape and shape the desert permanently around them, and magic, allowing players to conjure elements and cast powerful spells or enhance telekinetic objects with it.

"The power of terraforming is a real driving force within our game development, allowing us to open up the environment to the players to control and manipulate to help solve puzzles and fight enemies." Said Julian Mautner, founder of stillalive studios. "The magic elements have also allowed us to make the game play incredibly open and personal. Players can combine elements such as telekinesis and magic, either in single player mode or when playing co-op to win otherwise unwinnable battles and open otherwise off limits areas." Mautner added.

A crucial part of Son of Nor is the terraforming power; controlling the environment around them, a feature rarely seen in games before. The landscape within the game is fully malleable and players need to change the environment to be successful.

"Terraforming really stands Son of Nor apart from our competitors games, we have worked tirelessly on the mechanics to ensure this feature is unique and compelling within the gameplay." Mautner said. "The feedback we have had so far from those who have witnessed the terraforming in Son of Nor has been phenomenal, people just cannot wait to get in the driving seat and play for themselves. We are so proud of what we have achieved with this so far." Mautner concluded.

The Son of Nor Kickstarter campaign started on 30th April, runs for 30 days and hopes to pique the interest and backing of gamers everywhere to raise the $150k needed to launch this game into the market.

"Our campaign is so important to the completion of Son of Nor and we hope people continue to get behind us and pledge their support." Mautner said.
