The mobile gaming sensation, Angry Birds Star Wars, will be released on gaming consoles for the first time later this year, Activision and Rovio Entertainment has announced. The game will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo's Wii and Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS on October 29th, 2013 in the US and November 1st globally.

Remastered for gaming systems, Angry Birds Star Wars features all new competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes, 20 exclusive new levels created just for the console game, and over 25 hours of gameplay. In addition, the game delivers achievements and trophies, leaderboards, high-definition graphics on HD-compatible systems as well as unlockable bonus levels, items and content.

“Downloaded more than 100 million times since its release last year, Angry Birds Star Wars melds together two of the biggest names in pop-culture entertainment for an out of this galaxy gaming experience,” remarked Jami Laes, Executive Vice President of Games at Rovio Entertainment. “Angry Birds and Star Wars are franchises with millions of fans around the world and we’re excited to partner with Activision to bring the marriage of these beloved properties to gamers everywhere this holiday season.”
