Capcom has seemingly abandoned plans for a new Darkstalkers game after its HD digital compilation Darkstalkers Resurrection sold poorly.
In a chat with Siliconera, Capcom's fighting game manager Matt Dahlgren was asked if the "Darkstalkers is not dead" catchphrase, uttered by Capcom's Yoshinori Ono at Comic Con 2011 and 2012, still applied.
