Until now, Hello Games has self-published its three Joe Danger games through digital storefronts including PlayStation Store, Xbox Live, Steam and Apple’s App Store, so this will be the first time Joe Danger and Joe Danger 2: The Movie will be available through physical retail. The bundle will feature both games and special extra content.
Joe Danger and Joe Danger 2 : The Movie were first released on PC via Steam in June 2013, and features special new content to their original console releases. Joe Danger 2 : The Movie includes the full set of Team Fortress 2 mercs as playable characters and a Minecraft environment for user level creation, and both games feature enhanced graphic options.
Ted Bishop, CEO at Base Games commented, "Joe Danger is a terrific addition to our even growing line up of products and we are delighted that Hello Games agreed to work with us to release Joe Danger into retail stores globally. The reviews have been fantastic and we are confident that the PC version will be as much of a success as the previous versions.”
Sean Murray, managing director and co-founder of Hello Games, said, “It’s going to be so exciting to finally be able to pick up a copy of Joe Danger in my hands. There’s something about seeing in a shop something you’ve poured your soul into, and its lovely to have our little guy find new friends who couldn’t get hold of him in digital stores.”
