Hello Kitty Kruisers coming soon to Wii U

Bergsala Lightweight LLC and Austin-based Scarab Entertainment today announced that Hello Kitty Kruisers, a family-friendly racing game, is now in development for Wii U release in Q4 2013 with other platforms, including iOS and Android, to follow.

Targeting girls and a broader family demographic, Hello Kitty Kruisers will bring Hello Kitty to consoles in an action-packed adventure, on land, over water, and through air, as players race to victory as Hello Kitty and her Sanrio friends.

“The idea of having a Sanrio console game that my son and daughter can enjoy together (and with me) was an obvious yes,” said Karim Farghaly, CEO of Scarab Entertainment. “We’re taking one of the best-selling genres (kart racing) and turning it into something more exciting for the Wii U generation.”

What is Hello Kitty Kruisers?:

• Race by land, sea and air in cars, boats and planes with ten of your favorite Sanrio characters including Hello Kitty, Badtz-Maru, Keroppi, My Melody and many more.
• Challenge yourself with adventure, quick play and tournament single-player modes, or challenge your friends and family with multiplayer quick play and tournaments.
• Unlock new characters, vehicles, power-ups and customizable gear to personalize (and rev-up) your gameplay experience.
• Zoom through sixteen unique tracks in five distinct worlds (like Island Paradise, Icicle Alley and more).
• Complete objectives, earn stars and unlock bonus content as you race through twenty tricky tracks in adventure mode. 

The Wii U and Mobile versions will be published by Bergsala Lightweight LLC who has previously published other Sanrio-branded titles such as “Loving Life with Hello Kitty and Friends” (Nintendo DS) and “Travel Adventures with Hello Kitty” (Nintendo 3DS).
