SEGA Superstars Tennis lets Sonic and the gang loose on courts inspired by SEGA’s iconic gameworlds, from a funky disco space station to an outrageous samba party. Every one of the 16 SEGA characters is equipped with a game-changing special move such as Sonic’s super speed, Dr. Eggman’s devastating bomb clusters and AiAi’s banana-shaped curve shots.
Players can hone their skills in quick matches or take on the grand challenge of Planet Superstars mode, a series of tournaments and mini games which include smashing zombies with well-aimed shots, making paintball graffiti and knocking giant monkey balls into a goal.
SEGA Superstars Tennis supports shared-screen multiplayer for up to four players, so players can take on their friends or team up for doubles. The game also supports a wide range of popular gamepads including the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 controllers.
“We’re delighted to see Sonic & Co come back on to the Mac with new balls,” said David Stephen, Managing Director of Feral Interactive.
SEGA Superstars Tennis for the Mac will retail in North America for $14.99, £10.49 in the UK and €13.99 throughout Europe. When released, it will be available online for direct download from a variety of digital partner sites worldwide including the Feral Store and the Mac App Store.
Minimum system requirements call for a 1.8GHz Intel Mac with at least 4GB RAM, 256MB or better graphics card and Mac OS 10.7.5 or later. The following graphics cards are NOT supported: ATI X1xxx series, ATI HD2xxx series, Intel GMA series, NVIDIA 7xxx series, NVIDIA 8xxx series and NVIDIA 9400.
