Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze release date confirmed, new gameplay footage

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will launch on February 21st in stores and on the Nintendo eShop, Nintendo has announced. As previously announced, Cranky Kong will also be joining the team – alongside Donkey, Diddy and Dixie - as a playable character.

With Cranky now in the thick of the action, the in-game item shop will be manned this time around by none other than Funky Kong. There's also a new special move called 'Kong POW' which can be performed with a player’s buddy character after 100 bananas are collected.  When you use it, all on-screen enemies become items.
