Ubisoft writer Jeffrey Yohalem has revealed that the French Revolution setting of the upcoming Assassin's Creed: Unity was teased as far back as 2010's Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. The ending sequence of that game includes a number of mysterious symbols being projected - the two most prominent being the Phrygian Cap, a symbol of the French Revolution, and the Eye of Providence, a nod towards the North American setting of Assassin's Creed 3.
