Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut will be released for purchase and download on April 8th in North America and April 9th in Europe, for both Xbox One ($19.99/£15.99) and PS4 ($19.99/£15.39), Born Ready Games has announced.

To accompany today's release date announcement, Born Ready Games has also made available a new video developer diary, which discusses how the development team has updated the game's graphics, especially those for ship models, and some other gameplay and core game changes.

Strike Suit Zero features highly detailed mecha and spaceship designs by renowned mecha designer Junji Okubo (Steel Battalion, Appleseed), and a wonderfully atmospheric score created by Paul Ruskay (Homeworld) and Kokia (Tales of Innocence, Origins: Spirits Of The Past ).

The Director’s Cut offers the definitive next-gen Strike Suit Zero experience, with a restructured campaign, all new ship models, greatly enhanced textures and lighting, two additional Strike Suits (the Marauder, and the Raptor) and the Heroes of the Fleet campaign.
