Confirmation of a new Alan Wake game for Xbox Live Arcade didn't go down all that well with some fans, despite the fact major details of the project have yet to be officially announced.

Developer Remedy came out fighting for the game, saying it will be "structured like a full release complete with a pretty damn impressive storyline"

An extremely trusted source has leaked to us that the upcoming Alan Wake: Night Springs will be an Xbox Live Arcade title and not a retail release. We have seen screen caps, but have been asked not to disclose them at this time. We have emailed Microsoft asking for a comment and will update as the situation develops.
