The second big addition is the replay functionality, which was one of the headline features for the Awesomenauts:Starstorm crowdfunding campaign. Whenever a player plays a match, the game is automatically recorded. These recordings can then be viewed by visiting the replay menu. The replays enable players to analyze their playstyle, share their best moments and even help them create their own little stories in the Awesomenauts universe. To showcase the replay functionality, two battles between some of the best Awesomenauts teams has been recorded and commentated below.
The StarStorm expansion is expected to be complete by the end of 2014, and will contain 5 new characters, 1 new map, a full featured spectator mode, a replay system, a match customization suite and a custom games browser.

Ted McPain is also accompanied by two Premium skins: On one hand, there's Titanium Ted - easily the manliest of all the Awesomenauts. He's buff, he's tough, and he's wearing pants for a change. On the other hand, there's Party Boy McPain - confident, charming, always in for a good time, and almost wearing less than "no pants"! And as all 80's heroes, Ted also comes with an awesome new theme song.
The expansion will grow much further in 2014 to contain all content promised in the successful Kickstarter campaign. This includes: 4 more characters, a new map "Starstorm station", more game customization, a fully featured replay system and a spectator mode.

And today the first major feature has been added to the game: Custom Games. Part of patch 1.24, this first release contains ample settings to customise your private Awesomenauts match to your hearts' content. It also contains a whole new game mode: Team Deathmatch. This new mode is also fully customisable. However, today's release is only the first iteration of the Custom Games feature. Expect to see more options and game modes in the future, as well as a full-featured Custom Games browser.
In the future, most of the Starstorm content and features will be offered as a separate DLC accessible to all Kickstarter backers, or through purchase on Steam. But today all Awesomenauts players can get a little taste for the Starstorm, because the current Custom Game feature is free to try for all owners of the game. Apart from the Customisable Games, lots of new stuff is coming in the near future. Just as a quick reminder: on top of Customisable Games, the Starstorm DLC will contain 5 more characters, a new map, a Replay System and Spectator Mode.
As another reminder: all of the Starstorm content will also make it into the upcoming PlayStation 4 version of the game, which is called Awesomenauts: Assemble. Awesomenauts:Assemble is aimed at the launch of the next generation console, and will be available for the same price as the Steam version of the game: $9.99.
The only thing that eventually will be different about the PlayStation 4 version is that the Replay System and Spectator mode will be covered by the streaming features of the system itself.

The combined pledged value of both at the time of closing was $407,765. Ronimo's own page will remain open for a short while longer, although all physical rewards have been removed.
Reaching 400k means several stretch goals have been met after funding the base 125k requirement within the first week. The new features that will be built are as follows:
- 4 new Awesomenauts and a map will be added to the game, tied together by the new Starstorm narrative.
- Full spectator mode and replay system. Players will be able to spectate any public matches that are currently going on, as well as watch replays later.
- Custom games setup, allowing private matches to be fully customisable.
- 2 new songs will be created and added to the soundtrack.

For the PlayStation 4 version, Ronimo joined forces with Abstraction Games to bring the most recent version of the game to the upcoming console. As such the game will contain all features the extensive PC version has. That means tons of fixes to both code and gameplay, an extra map, more than twice the characters compared to the original release and the ability to customize your looks with DLC skins.

Awesomenauts launched two months ago and lets players team up and blast each other in a 2D-sidescrolling universe that features the style of the comics of the 80’s. Since then, tons of gamers have discovered the delights of dominating enemy players and structures with mines, lasers, grenades, bullets, lightning swords, whirlwinds and more. And now even more ways to defeat the enemy team have been added, using the new characters and items.
The new characters are called Coco Nebulon and Derpl Zork. Coco Nebulon is the first female Awesomenaut. With her psycho-electric melee abilities, lightning trails and detonatable lightning ball she will be a fierce enemy for the boys. Derpl Zork meanwhile, is the nephew of the president of Zork Industries. But Derpl lacks his uncle's business-smarts. In fact he lacks any kind of smarts: his IQ is even rated under the level of plankton in the official galaxial IQ test. His transforming combat walker more than makes up for it, though.
Awesomenauts is currently available on PSN ($9,99) and XBLA (800MSP). A PC version will be available via Steam next month.

"A few years ago we at Ronimo set out to create a great platforming MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game. This resulted in the release of Awesomenauts for XBLA and PSN a few months back. A great looking and addictive sidescrolling MOBA, a first for consoles. But ever since we've shown the first screens and videos, we've been getting tons of requests to also bring this game to PC." said designer Jasper Koning.
"Well, we agree! We love the idea of being able to play Awesomenauts with our friends through Steam using our trusty mice and keyboards. So we went ahead and actually built it! To speed things up we've been getting a lot of help and support from our fans, quickly translating new texts and giving us valuable feedback on the balance and new controls."
"Within a month everyone will be able to grab a copy of Awesomenauts on Steam! Soon you will be able to experience the game using your favorite input devices. A Mac version will follow shortly afterwards."
"And if that's not soon enough we'll be starting a closed beta within the week! Keep an eye on our facebook page to stay up to date."

Puzzled by its sudden disappearance, Soviet space-command wondered what had become of their beloved test-pet Yuri. Little did they know that Yuri's spacecraft had entered a warpfield anomaly and was transported hundreds of years into the future!
Also, the warpfields radiation boosted Yuri's mind to superintelligent levels. The new, more intelligent, mad and slightly sadistic Yuri quickly grasped the situation and modified his broken rocket into an equally mad timetraveling supercomputer jetpack.
With the jetpack translating everything Yuri says and does, enemies are never quite sure who is in control, the mad scientist monkey, or the computer it created?
