Konami has announced that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD is now available via Steam for PC and has released an all new trailer for the title.

Following its success across console formats, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD completes the trilogy of the ‘Lords of Shadow’ series for PC. The new game is set 25 years after the events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, and also acts as a precursor to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 which released in February. The trailer showcases the stunning visuals and action-packed gameplay of the side-scrolling title which is released via Steam today.

In Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD, players take on the role of multiple characters, each of whom has unique abilities acquired during the game’s different eras. Featuring a huge array of combos and an intuitive strategic combat system, players can use their characters’ weapons and magical abilities to take down anything in their path. The game offers huge, detailed levels where players will encounter enormous boss fights (including a ‘Boss Rush’ mode), and compete with other users via online leaderboards.

Konami has announced plans to bring Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD to Steam for PC later this month. Re-envisioned in high-definition, Mirror of Fate HD is set 25 years after the events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, and acts as a precursor to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, available now.

As the middle title in the trilogy, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD tells the story of some of Gabriel Belmont’s descendants, including Simon and Trevor Belmont, as they battle their own destiny only to discover their true, shocking fate. Trevor Belmont, a knight of the Brotherhood of Light, sets out to avenge his mother’s death at the hands of his father, who has returned from years of exile to take up residence in a mysterious castle. The powerful figure that was once Gabriel Belmont now stands as Dracula, a powerful vampire. Dracula has declared war upon the Brotherhood and thus the scene is set for a powerful showdown between father and son.

The Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection will be released on November 8th, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Konami has announced.

Priced at £29.99, the compilation, which boasts over 40 hours of gameplay, features the original Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, a download code for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD and a Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 demo. It also includes the Reverie and Resurrection DLC packs for the first game.

Konami has officially announced Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD. The upgraded version of March 2013's 3DS release will launch on October 31 on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, Konami said today on the Lords of Shadow Facebook page.
