THQ has revealed that Darksiders 2 will include a Arena Challenge and New Game+ mode to help expand the life-span of the game once you have completed the games main campaign.

The Arena Challenge is a survival mode in which you'll face 100 unique waves of enemies. Every fifth wave, you'll be offered a choice between taking a prize or to fight on for another five waves for a better one. It's risky though as when you die you will go away empty handed.

Darksiders 2 will also include a New Game+ mode, which allows players to restart the campaign at a higher difficulty but with all skills and equipment from the previous walkthrough intact.

"The Arena Challenge Mode and the New Game+ function are the perfect way to continue building the ultimate Death even after finishing the main game," VP of global brand marketing Jim Huntley said in the announcement. "This upgraded and customized character can then be carried over into the upcoming DLC campaign missions."
