Trendy Entertainment has announced today that the new Jester class for Dungeon Defenders is now available to download on Steam.

Also, instead of towers, the Jester drops gift-wrapped “Presents” that explode on enemies to reveal random defenses and bonuses. Players will definitely want to get their hands on this character soon, because after the first two weeks she’ll set you back $3.99.

That’s not all, though – beyond the Jester’s Wheel of Fortuna (which grants random bonuses and can decimate friends and foe alike) and Move Tower (allowing her to adapt defensive strategies and react to any combat situation) abilities, a brand new map called GameLand makes its debut. Two DLC packs for the action-RPG/tower-defense game, 'Dungeon Defenders' are now available for download on Steam.

The 'Assault Mission pack' includes three assault missions, a new map and a unicorn familiar. While the new 'Barabarian character class' includes a new character, boasting the ability to dual-wield and change the game with battle stances, which replace his ability to construct towers.

His Battle Leap ability allows him to instantly close the distance to a far-off target, while his Battle Pound ability will decimate any nearby enemies.

The Assault Mission pack is currently on sale for $.99/£0.79 and the Barbarian character class for $1.99/£1.33 for one week only.
