As NASCAR prepares to debut its new line of stock cars for the 2013 season, Eutechnyx and Activision have announced new DLC which will give players the opportunity to drive the Gen 6 cars in NASCAR The Game: Inside Line.

The NASCAR Gen 6 cars bring the brand new Chevrolet SS, Ford Fusion and Toyota Camry models into the game for the first time. Players will be able to put these new cars through their paces online and in selected single player modes.

The NASCAR Gen 6 cars will be available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later in February and can be purchased using the in-game Ticket currency or as part of the Inside Line Highlights (sold separately).

The Inside Line Highlights are a series of in-game DLC packs that utilize telemetry data from actual NASCAR races and lets players relive and rewrite race events just as they unfold for real.

Activision and racing game developer Eutechnyx have today announced NASCAR The Game: Inside Line, which is planned to launch Fall 2012 for the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the Wii.

A sequel to last years NASCAR The Game 2011, Inside Line allows players to race with the top NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers, teams and cars, on 23 officially licensed racetracks.

"We set out to reinvent NASCAR gaming last year with NASCAR The Game 2011 — and we're very proud of it. With our continued enhancements to that game, and our very passionate fans helping guide us, we have an amazing platform to go to the next level with NASCAR The Game: Inside Line," said Dave Thompson, Executive Producer at Eutechnyx.

"NASCAR The Game: Inside Line builds on that platform and adds a number of innovative, cutting edge features that will give fans and gamers alike the chance to participate in the sport like never before."

"We've added a new in-depth career mode and robust online features that include realistic race weekends, and now aspiring drivers can rise up through the ranks, attract sponsors, and upgrade their car's components in the quest to be the Sprint Cup Series Champion."
