The official Japanese Okami Twitter account seems to be teasing news for next week. “Hello, this is Okami news,” said the account. “Sorry I’ve been kind of out of touch lately, but I have the feeling we’ll be able to drop a fresh announcement like WHAM! around the beginning of Golden Week, so please look forward to it. Okami HD is now available on the PlayStation Network in North America for $19.99, Capcom has announced. It will be released across Europe starting tomorrow (October 31st) for €19.99 /£15.99.

The game, which was originally praised for its gorgeous Sumi-e style graphics, has had its spirit boosted with HD graphics, PlayStation Move support and trophies. 

With Okami HD, players can take advantage of the PlayStation Move motion controller and naturally make brush strokes with the Celestial Brush to defeat enemies and solve puzzles. Okami HD will also support the DualShock 3 wireless controller for those who wish to re-live the original experience.

Initially released to critical acclaim on the PlayStation 2, players take on the role of Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess, who inhabits the form of a wolf. After a tyrannical monster turns the world into a ruined wasteland, she must use her magical abilities to restore the land to its previous glory full of life and color.

Capcom has announced that the award winning Ōkami will be re-born this fall as a digital download on the PlayStation Network for $19.99/£15.99/€19.99. Already one of the most beautiful games ever created, the addition of HD graphics will make this new version of Ōkami even more stunning.
