Demonic Vacation At The Blood Sea is a single-player/co-op focused DLC which introduces new maps, a new boss fight and a much deeper storyline. Maps are themed around picturesque ocean view settings, and there’s a brand new ruins level complete with sea-monster boss fight.
“Painkiller continues with its sixth DLC, in which we look forward to bringing new levels, enemies and over the top arsenal to fans that will cause even more hellish destruction,” said Reinhard Pollice, Business & Product Development Director at Nordic Games. “Following on from the 5th DLC, Heaven’s Above, we switched back perspectives and we continue to provide thrilling old school first-person shooter action once again in this latest DLC.”
The full feature list includes:
- 3 singleplayer/coop maps themed around picturesque ocean view settings: Monastery, Docks and Ruins.
- New map "Ruins" with epic sea-monster boss fight.
- Revamped bossfight: check out the hellish offspring of Thor and Leviathan.
- New enemies: Ancient Soldiers, Conquistadores, Gimps.
- Revamped enemies from the original Painkiller: Hellbikers, Rocket-Jumpers, Scythe Monks, and Grenadier Monks.
- New weapon: Cannon; Primary Fire: shoots a massive fiery cannonball that pushes enemies away, burning/instagibbing them on direct hit and at close range; Secondary Fire: shoots an icy cannonball that freezes multiple enemies on direct impact, and slows enemies in an AoE-radius.
- New Tarot Card: 666 ammo.

“We know console users have been waiting for this day and we’re excited to be getting Painkiller out there to them,” said Reinhard Pollice, Nordic Games' business and product development director.

The DLC pack includes 5 campaign maps; Graveyard, Town, Babel, Angkor, and Pentagon which can be played in both single player and co-op mode. Players will also encounter bigger and badder boss fights that can be won using any of the original Painkiller Hell & Damnation weapons plus the new throwable mine.
“We’ve made a commitment to release several DLCs throughout this year to ensure that we provide players with the best Painkiller experience possible,” said Reinhard Pollice, Business & Product Development Director at Nordic Games. “It started as an internal idea, then we prototyped Painkiller with top-down gameplay and it looked promising so we were eager to further explore the idea which ultimately led to this DLC. We know that this has the potential to be something bigger but at the moment we’re looking forward to offering this rare experience to our community and are excited to see their reaction.”

The latest edition to the Painkiller DLC roadmap focuses on the multiplayer elements of the game. Full Metal Rocket features three new multiplayer maps, new multiplayer skins, brutal enemies and a weapon along with a new Survival mode which features its own dedicated leader board.
“With previous releases of Painkiller Hell & Damnation DLCs we got tons of feedback and fans asking for more content,” said Reinhard Pollice, Business & Product Development Director at Nordic Games. “We always want our players to be fully challenged, so with this DLC we have decided to concentrate on the multiplayer elements of the game to give them a truly immersive, hellish experience.”
The full list of features in Full Metal Rocket includes:
- Three classic multiplayer maps now shine in their HD glory including new gameplay options: Meatless, Blink, Mines suited for different modes (Survival, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture The Flag), featuring the new Survival mode style.
- New Survival mode: single player Survival mode with dedicated Leaderboards: play with limited ammo, and avoid being killed to gain access to weapon lockers and to proceed to the next area
- One new HD Survival map: Town.
- One new HD map for all multiplayer modes: Prison.
- New multiplayer skins: SS Zombie and Leper.
- New enemies: Executioner and Beast.
- New weapon for multiplayer mode: Mine.
Painkiller Hell & Damnation will be released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 31st.

The Zombie Bunker includes a new single player map, The Bunker, which includes a new boss fight and also a new multiplayer map - DM Fragenstein. In addition, the Stalingrad map (formerly known as Leningrad) has been reworked to now include airstrikes, Zeppelin firebombs and airborne zombie troops.
“We wanted to put players on the front line with this DLC and create a terrifying military experience that players will need to work hard against in order to succeed,” Reinhard Pollice, Production and Business Development Manager at Nordic Games. “The new maps will immerse players in a truly demonic military world.”
The DLC features include:
- Reworked map: In Stalingrad (former “Leningrad”) - Inbound airstrikes, airplanes and Zeppelins firebomb our hero and even deploy Zombie Soldiers from above!
- Area 51 and Cold War will hit you hard in the reworked map “Military Base” – Space Commandos, UFO boss fight and nuclear missiles
- Two new rocket launchers (environment weapons)
- One new Multiplayer map: DM Fragenstein, playable in various Multiplayer modes
- New enemies: Russian, American, and German Zombie Soldiers as well as their tanks!
- New melee weapon: The “Morgenstern” - Smite your enemies with its spiky ball at short distances, or deploy sticky mines to battle from afar.
- New Silver Tarot card: Armor Regeneration (recharging your collected armor)

Starting today (January 31st) and running until February 3rd, the multiplayer weekend will allow players to jump in and experience all the multiplayer action from the main game including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Survival. Weekend bargain hunters will also be able to play the entire first chapter of the single player campaign.
Throughout the weekend there will also be the added bonus for players to purchase the game at a specially discounted price of just £6.12 - 66% off the original purchase price.
“This is a great promotion that will give those who have not had a taste of Painkiller a good taste of all the fast paced gory action,” said Thomas Reisinger, Key Account Manager Online Sales at Nordic Games. “Demon slayers can slash their way through to a great discount that is great value for money.”
Nordic Games will also reset the global leaderboards before the free weekend begins, giving players a warm-up phase until Friday 6pm GMT. The global top 3 in "Deathmatch" as of Sunday 9pm GMT will receive some exclusive painkiller prizes, details of which will be announced on Monday.
Painkiller Hell & Damnation was released for the PC on October 31st, 2012, and is set to launch on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 on April 5th.

The DLC pack introduces new epic boss battles against the White Demon and Assassin Greed who was named in remembrance of an assassin, John P. Greed.
The Medieval Horror multiplayer pack expands on Survival mode - players can now progress through a map in the same way they would in campaign mode while playing co-op. Fiends can now be destroyed using new environmental weapons in scenes of horrific demon slaying.
“We wanted to intensify the hellish experience for players and the Medieval pack certainly does that,” Reinhard Pollice, Production and Business Development Manager at Nordic Games. “The PC fans cannot get enough of the pain and are always asking us for more, so we wanted to give them exactly what they want.”
Painkiller Hell & Damnation was released for PC on October 31st 2012. The campaign features an all-action crusade that can be played in single player mode, co-operative mode across four chapters, and several multiplayer-modes. A vast array of demons and fiends will be encountered along the way.

Originally released for Windows PC in October 2012, Painkiller Hell & Damnation is the goriest addition to the Painkiller franchise yet.
The game can be played in single player mode or co-operatively across four chapters and several multiplayer modes. A crusade of hellish action will be encountered along the way featuring a variety of devastating creatures and enormo-boss fights.
“We have been working around the clock to bring the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game in line with the quality and standard of the PC game,” says Reinhard Pollice, Production and Business Development Manager, Nordic Games.
“There has been a slight delay so that the console communities can enjoy the fiendishly ghoulish experience that we know they want and deserve. In taking this additional time to add the final touches, we know that players will realise that the best things do come to those who wait!”
Painkiller Hell & Damnation will be available on April 5th, 2013, as a Standard Edition priced £24.99 on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 as a Collector’s Edition priced £34.99, respectively.
