Insomniac have released a new video of Ratchet & Clank All 4 One. The video shows a boss battle which takes place on the Aldaros Plains, one of the first areas on the Planet Magnus. Octomoth is exactly how its sounds, a cross between a Moth and an Octopus.

In the single player mode gamers who play as Ratchet, Qwark or Nefarious will be teamed up with an AI bot of Clank which will ride your back until needed in a section which requires teamwork. For those who want to play as Clank the AI bot will be replaced by Qwark who folds himself up into an handy backpack.

Without any official announcement, Sony has revealed in its latest PlayStation Plus update that a multiplayer beta for Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One has gone live on the European PSN Store today.

Exclusive to Playstation Plus members the All 4 one beta offers 4 player co-op online and is now available to download from the PSN, as of yet no beta has been confirmed for the US.

Ratchet & Clank All For One is set to hit stores in North America on October 18th and in Europe a few days later on October 21st.

Sony have revealed that Ratchet & Clank will be hitting the stores on 18th October in North America, and from 19th October in PAL regions depending on where you live. Also Sony have revealed there will be four seperate Pre-order bonuses which include early access to one of four weapons.


Below are the Pre-order bonuses from each retailer in North America for PAL regions please check availability with your local retailers.

Composer Michael Bross will be responsible for crafting the soundtrack for Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One. Over four hours of original music will be featured in Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One, with Michael Bross bringing a fresh perspective to the series while respecting the direction the franchise has taken with past titles.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One will for the first time allow players to experience the Ratchet and Clank universe with up to three friends at once,teaming up as Ratchet, Clank, Qwark and Dr. Nefarious. The series’ signature humor and cinematic style will be intact as players join forces to escape from and investigate a mysterious machine called the Creature Collector.

Regarding Michael Bross’s involvement with Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One’s soundtrack, Insomniac audio lead Jamie McMenamy notes, “The deeper we get into the development of Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, the more evident it becomes that Michael was the perfect choice as the composer for our project. His music is epic and innovative,providing the cutting edge sound and cinematic quality we desired for the game. We are truly excited to have him on board.”

As a huge fan of the Rachet and Clank series for a number of years, Bross has been eager to create a unique soundtrack that lives up to fans’ expectations. “I'm incredibly excited to be working with the Insomniac team on such a fantastic franchise,” comments Bross. “It's truly an honor to work on the project.”

Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One will be released exclusively on the PlayStation 3 in Fall 2011.
