GameFuse has announced that Renaissance Heroes is now available for download on Steam, complete with one new playable character, a new map, and a number of new lethal devices.

Renaissance Heroes is an online multiplayer first-person shooter that takes place in an alternative 16th century. In Renaissance Heroes, players are able to dive right into the action with an array of fast-paced arenas and gameplay modes such as Capture the Flag, Seize the Scrolls, Touchdown, Deathmatch, and Duel. With numerous new weapons added to the mix, along with additional features, players can anticipate an extremely twitch-based arena shooter that leaves no room for mistake.

In celebration of the Steam launch, players will be introduced to a new hero, Alphon, who is an explorer in search of glory and fame. Alphon joins the other seven heroes in the battle to find the blueprint for the "Da Vinci Machine” – a device said to grant its possessor with exorbitant wealth and everlasting power.

In addition, all players who register for Renaissance Heroes through Steam will receive a permanent Steam banner that grants additional XP when equipped, along with a playable “Grinder-R” submachine gun. Also, for one week only, players will have the opportunity to purchase bundles of weapons and costumes in the Steam shop at a 75% discount.

ChangYou.com has announced the live launch of Renaissance Heroes. The free-to-play first-person arena shooter is now available for download at GameFuse.com in both North America and Europe, complete with additional content including one new playable character, a new competitive game mode, and two new gameplay environments.

With the live launch of the game players can now dive right into the world of Renaissance-era and can even employ the crossbow-wielding antics of Sika, the newest member of the Renaissance Heroes family. Highly skilled in the alchemical arts, Sika is also a lethal adversary on the battlefield, capable of long-range kills that will leave any opponent fearful of her presence. Also included in the launch is the new competitive game mode, Domination, as well as the two new gameplay environments, Graveyard and Aqueduct.

ChangYou.com has announced that the Renaissance Heroes beta will launch on January 22nd and will continue through until February 6th.

The beta will introduce the new European server, several new game elements, including two new characters and maps, as well as a new play mode. Players will also have the opportunity to participate in daily events to win prizes.

Two new characters, Bart and Medici, have joined the four other heroes already in the game. The last Holy Guardian Bart has come in hopes of restoring the Vatican to its original ideals, and vain, aristocratic Medici, has succumbed to his lust for money and power, and hopes to test his mettle against the strength of those that stand before him. Castle Skyros and Atelier in Ruins are two new added environments that players will now be able to explore, and the new Touch Down mode offers an exciting twist to the competitive gameplay.

In celebration of the launch, special events will be held each day throughout the beta, giving players a chance to win a variety of prizes. Players will have the opportunity to receive one entry for each day they log into the game, but must be sure to complete at least one match to be entered into the prize drawing. Prizes range from special in-game items to a Razer Blade gaming laptop or a GeForce GTX660 video card.

ChangYou.com has today announced Renaissance Heroes, a brand new online multiplayer first-person shooter for the PC. The game is set in a re-imagined world of the 16th century Renaissance Europe, and is expected to launch its closed beta phase in summer 2012.

Renaissance Heroes, previously known as "DaVinci Online," combines classic multiplayer action with the power of the Unreal Engine 3 to deliver a fun and fast-action shooter in a completely free to play environment later this year.
