The demo, which is scheduled to arrive before the game hits shelves in late October, takes players through the "Assault on Castle Biron" mission, a fortress siege set on a fiery summer's eve. Under a barrage of flaming arrows and faced with a full armament of defending soldiers, the player, as Templar Denz de Bayle, must fight alongside partner Esteban Noviembre to break through the castle defenses, defeat the enemy forces, and ultimately confront a de Bayle family friend, Martin d'Algais.
The new "Story" trailer clearly establishes the moral and spiritual turmoil faced by the game's two main characters, Denz and Esteban, as they quest across much of thirteenth century Europe in pursuit of salvation from a curse that threatens to consume them. On full display is the game's weighty medieval combat engine, a mix of bone-crushing attacks, dozens of lethal weapons true to the period, a long list of abilities and combos that can be expanded using Victory Points earned by completing objectives, and the fiery, titular Templar's Curse abilities that cast the world in a hellish orange glow. A tale of retribution and survival, The Cursed Crusade's dark narrative is sure to satisfy action gamers everywhere with its violence, gore, and drama.
The Cursed Crusade is scheduled to release on October 25th for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

The prologue sets the scene for what is set to be an epic adventure, revealing the cleverly intertwining narratives that make up The Cursed Crusade’s central storyline. Beginning with Jean De Bayle, the prologue goes on to introduce central character Denz de Bayle and his companion in arms, Esteban Noviembre.
The story of The Cursed Crusade tells of a ritual performedby the order of Templars. As a consequence, a dark, terrifying new power was obtained. Terrible things started to happen, and many lives were lost; it was then decided that this new power would have to remain a secret. But no secret remains forever untold… With the end of the 12thCentury imminent, the Pope launches a Fourth Crusade to conquer the holy city of Constantinople. The young Templar Denz de Bayle joins up so he can find his father, who never returned from the previous crusade. Denz will find the truth during a journey through the greatest cities of medieval Europe and the Orient.

Mastertronic’s Product Director Neil McKenna said “The Curse aspect of this title adds to an already exciting action-adventure gaming mechanic. Players will need to master the Curse, alongside over 130 weapons and 16 fighting techniques, to defeat their enemies and progress through the game. The latest trailer also shows off jaw-dropping cinematics that merge seamlessly with actual gameplay. The Cursed Crusade will be a standalone title in the action-adventure genre and we expect fans to be blown away when it’s released later this year.”
