The Gadget Show creates the ultimate Battlefield 3 simulator

Channel 5's Gadget Show in the UK have created the ultimate FPS simulator, using a pre-release copy of Battlefield 3 and top technology experts from across Europe. The simulator allows players to move aim, fire and get shot within a 360-degree environment.

In the simulator players can control the movements of the Battlefield 3 character with their own body movements thank to the world's first portable omni-directional treadmill. While players can shoot using a wireless gun system; ambient LED lighting; and an Xbox Kinect camera hack. To make the simulator even more realistic players can get shot by the enemy fire for real thanks to the paintball guns around the simulator.

The full Gadget Show episode premieres in the UK on Monday 24th October at 8pm on Channel 5.
