Choplifter HD stays true to the classic, 1980's Choplifter franchise, providing players with an action-packed, side-scrolling helicopter rescue adventure. Players assume the role of an ambitious rescue pilot asked to join the elite international helicopter rescue team. Pilots will be trained to command a variety of helicopters with offensive capabilities including missiles and mini-guns, and are ably supported by a very vocal co-pilot. Combining reality and fantasy elements, the game’s 30+ missions will range from prisoner extraction to saving survivors of viral outbreaks. Pilots must bank, hover, touch-down and sometimes even shake zombies from their chopper during lift-off in order to make their rescues.
“Choplifter HD takes everything we loved about the classic Choplifter game and amps it up with more choppers, more weapons, more rescues, lots of zombies and more over-the-top explosions to appeal to today’s action-thirsty gamer,” said Brian Fargo, president, inXile Entertainment.
Set to release this winter on the Xbox 360, Choplifter HD will also be available on PlayStation Network and Windows PC soon after.
