Huge Battlefield 3 PC patch notes detailed

A "major" client update for Battlefield 3 on PC is now live, as of 9am this morning, EA has confirmed.
Console versions of the patch are also due, but are taking longer due to the platforms' certification processes. Highlights include an updated squad interface, designed to make playing with friends and Platoon chums easier. Players can now select Squads to join, allowing for servers to better balance teams.
