Midnight Purple 3DS announced for North America

Nintendo has today announced that the 3DS will be getting a royal new color on May 20th, giving fans another option to customize the look of their systems to suit their individual styles and personalities.

The Midnight Purple Nintendo 3DS, offered at a suggested retail price of $169.99 in the United States, becomes the fifth color in the Nintendo 3DS color palette, joining Cosmo Black, Aqua Blue, Flame Red and Pearl Pink. Nintendo has yet to confirm plans for an European launch.
