Capcom has explained the exclusion of a co-op component in Ninja Theory's forthcoming Devil May Cry reboot. The publisher's senior producer Alex Jones explained that co-op hasn't been implemented for narrative reasons. The developers wanted to tell the story of Dante and to see another character join him on the journey would have an "impact on the narrative."
