Following announcements made by Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida at the Nico Nico Chokaigi 2 event in Tokyo over the weekend, Square Enix has revealed that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be launching this summer on PC and PlayStation 3.

The game is scheduled to enter the third phase of closed beta testing in June. Beta phase three will introduce PlayStation 3 users to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn for the very first time, where they will be able to experience the captivating world of Eorzea alongside PC players due to the game’s cross-platform functionality.

Additionally, beta phase three testers will gain access to a wealth of new content, including the introduction of the city states of Ul’dah and Limsa Lominsa. Those who haven’t already can apply to become a beta tester here: http://entry.ffxiv.com/beta/eu
