Since its release in 2007, Team Fortress 2 has seen a lot of change (not only in the hat department). As new weapons with new capabilities were released, some of the older maps started to show some leaks where players could now exploit their way behind enemy lines or otherwise into Wins-ville. As such, Valve are releasing a patch which will - among other things - re-evaluate some of these ‘sploits and bugs in an effort to make the game fair and enjoyable for everyone.
